Commissioner Gary Bettman and the NHL have made a major announcement with less than two months remaining in the offseason: the release of the official pre-season schedule for all 32 teams.

The pre-season will kick off on Saturday, September 21st, with the Pittsburgh Penguins facing the Buffalo Sabres, and the St. Louis Blues taking on the Dallas Stars at 7 PM ET.

Although the NHL regular season begins on October 4th with the Buffalo Sabres and the New Jersey Devils facing off in Czechia, the pre-season games will conclude on October 5th.
