This would potentially lead to the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers moving to the Central Division.

It would also place stars like Nathan MacKinnon and the Avalanche in a highly competitive Pacific Division, alongside teams like the Vegas Golden Knights, Vancouver Canucks, and Los Angeles Kings.
