NHL announces game 1 between Panthers and winner of Leafs vs Bruins
The NHL has made an official announcement for game 1 of round 2 between the Florida Panthers and the winner of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins.
After suffering two consecutive losses that led to a Game 7 in the first round, the Boston Bruins and their fans are likely not thinking about the second round just yet. However, if the Bruins advance, they would face a playoff rematch with the Florida Panthers. Game 1 would take place on Monday night in Sunrise, Florida, regardless of whether Boston or Toronto advances.
Exact dates and times for the rest of the series, as well as television broadcasters in the United States and Canada, will be announced later.
Originally, the series would have begun on Saturday if the Bruins had won, but the Leafs managed to tie the series 3-3 with a 2-1 victory in Game 6 on Thursday. This forces Game 7 to take place on Saturday at 8 p.m. in Boston.
