Staff at the Bell Centre are facing backlash after reportedly removing tributes to Johnny Gaudreau.

The NHL community is still mourning the tragic passing of Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau. Fans across the league have set up memorials to honor the Gaudreau family, with major tributes seen at Nationwide Arena and the Saddledome in Calgary.

These tributes have appeared at arenas across the country, with fans leaving items as a show of love and support. However, it seems that not all arenas are embracing these memorials. One fan noted that at the Bell Centre in Montreal, tributes have been removed nightly.

This wasn't an isolated incident, it happened multiple times over the weekend, leading fans to question the actions of the organization.

While it might be understandable if this were a general policy, fans point out that in 2022, when Guy Lafleur passed away, the area at the Bell Centre was used as a memorial for an extended period. Although fans are waiting for an explanation, it's unlikely the organization will provide one.
