Total of 12 players placed on waivers including two veteran goaltenders
A total of 12 NHL players have been placed on waivers for Wednesday, October 2nd.
With the NHL season about to start, teams need to finalize their rosters for opening night, and some players must clear waivers before being assigned to the minors.
Yesterday, 27 players were waived, and the Boston Bruins made their first claim by picking up goaltender Jiř� Patera from the Vancouver Canucks to address their goaltending needs.
According to PuckPedia, 12 players are now on the waiver wire, with the aim of being sent to the American Hockey League as training camps start this week. Here's the list of players on waivers:

The San Jose Sharks will have the first opportunity to make a claim since they finished last in the NHL during the 2023-24 season, allowing them to have priority on waivers until November 1st.
