The Boston Bruins have been actively exploring the possibility of trading Linus Ullmark since the summer. Following an outstanding season and his Vezina Trophy, Ullmark has solidified his position among the NHL's elite goaltenders.
The Bruins are now looking at the option of trading him. Given the emergence of Jeremy Swayman, who shows promise comparable to Ullmark's, the Bruins might feel comfortable trading Ullmark to bolster their offensive lineup.
Interestingly, the Los Angeles Kings appear to be in need of a top-tier goalie and have surplus forwards to offer. Acquiring a top goalie might be the final piece of the puzzle for them to become one of the Western Conference's top teams.
With the addition of Pierre-Luc Dubois, the Kings have strengthened their depth at the center position significantly. This could potentially lead them to consider parting ways with a player like Phillip Danault.
Danault consistently brings a strong defensive game to his team, reminiscent of Patrice Bergeron's style. If the trade were to materialize, he could fill a significant void in the Bruins' lineup.
This proposed trade makes logical sense, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Danault involved in a trade, especially if a goalie like Ullmark is in the mix.
