In breaking news, the Montreal Canadiens have completed a rare post-deadline trade with the New Jersey Devils.

Canadiens Complete Post-Deadline Trade With The Devils

Montreal Canadiens GM Kent Hughes revealed that the team has traded forward Nathan Légaré to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward Arnaud Durandeau.

#NEWS: We've acquired F Nathan Legare from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Utica Comets forward Arnaud Durandeau. Legare will report to Utica (AHL).

Nathan Légaré, 23, has nine points in 39 games for the Laval Rocket this season. He's played 164 AHL games, scoring 44 points. Drafted by Pittsburgh in 2019, he's known for his scoring prowess, leading his junior team in goals twice.

Arnaud Durandeau, 25, has four goals and 14 assists in 38 AHL games this season. With a career total of 126 points in 205 AHL games, his talent is evident.
