New photo leaks online of Sidney Crosby at restaurant with Leafs players

With the off-season upon us and Toronot fans excited to see the direction Craig Berube takes the team, many are finding a leaked photo of Sidney Crosby indicative of the player's openness to joining the Maple Leafs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been in a cup drought for nearly 60 years, and their loss in another game seven in this year's playoffs has only cemented the team further into infamy. Desperate to change the team's course, the team decided to part ways with Sheldon Keefe and hire Craig Berube.

With as many complaints as there were about the core four in their failed round-one playoffs, many expected the team to part ways with these so-called star players. However, fans changed their thoughts on one player, Mitch Marner, who they believe will stay with the team after he was caught having coffee with Craig Berube in a Toronto restaurant.

Despite this meeting being an obvious connection between both parties, many have turned their attention to a different picture. In this leaked photograph, Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby can be seen in the same restaurant.

While it does seem like an odd coincidence that Sidney Crosby would be visiting the same Toronto eatery as Craig Berube and some players from the Maple Leafs, there is not currently any solid evidence that suggests it is anything more than that. Kyle Dubas, general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins made it clear at the end of the regular season that he has not intention of getting rid of the player.

Though it is unusual the Penguins captain was seen in the same spot as members of the Toronto Maple Leafs, it seems unlikely this was intentional. Unless Berube and Dubas could work something out away from the public eye, we can probably look forward to another Crosby season in Pittsburgh.
