The Washington Capitals have acquired goaltender Logan Thompson from the Vegas Golden Knights for a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft (originally from the NY Islanders) and Washington's own third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
The Capitals had previously traded their starting netminder, Darcy Kuemper, to LA in exchange for Pierre-Luc Dubois. Thompson will now share the net with Charlie Lindgren and help the Capitals aim for a return to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Golden Knights gain valuable draft picks they can use either in this draft or for future trades. Stay tuned for more updates.
