The Boston Bruins and the New Jersey Devils played a closely contested game last night, with the Bruins ultimately winning 2-1.

Brad Marchand has been known as a notorious pest in the NHL for many years, having faced multiple suspensions and fines that have cost him over $1,000,000 in salary. He has crossed the line numerous times and was widely regarded as the most disliked player in the league.

However, in recent seasons, Marchand has shown significant growth and has cleaned up his act on the ice. Although he occasionally engages in cheap-shots, he has become one of the top two-way players in the league.

During last night's game, Devils forward Michael McLeod attempted to clear the puck out of the zone, but Marchand delivered a shoulder hit directly to McLeod's head.

Upon reviewing the footage, it became apparent that Brad Marchand's hit was a clear blow to the head, yet no penalty was called during the game.

Given Marchand's past behavior, fans speculated that he would face a suspension. However, according to Emily Kaplan of Insider, that is not the outcome.
