Buffalo Sabres forward Tage Thompson has been placed on the Non-Roster list as of December 28 due to personal reasons, according to the team.
Thompson, who has been a standout performer for the Sabres, has recorded nine goals and 10 assists, totaling 19 points in 26 games this season. His impressive contributions rank him fifth among Sabres skaters in points.
The 6-foot-7 center made a significant impact last season, leading the team with a career-high 47 goals and 47 assists, amassing a total of 94 points in 78 games.
It's worth noting that Thompson had previously missed nine games last month due to an upper-body injury sustained on November 14th against the Boston Bruins. During that period, the Sabres went 3-5-1 in his absence, highlighting his importance to the team. The hope is for Thompson's swift return to the lineup.
Stay tuned.
