He doesn't look like the same 100+ point forward that came from Florida at all.
We can put a part of the blame during his first year to Darryl Sutter. But with him gone, and with Ryan Huska becoming head coach of the Flames, things should've changed and they haven't.
Jonathan Huberdeau didn't take part in any shift during the third period of the game and he wasn't happy at all on the bench.
He did get 14:24 of ice-time, but never went on the ice in the third period.
Huska commented his decision:
Huberdeau scored six points in 13 games since the season started. He's really struggling to fit in, but hasn't lost his passion.
The Flames organization has a lot of faith in Huberdeau. They've paid a big price to get him and sign him.
There are concerns that Huberdeau could struggle to live to his potential, but if he doesn't we can't see any team that would be willing to get him by trade, knowing his salary and his production.
Do you think Huberdeau will play with the Flames until his $10.5M AAV contract expires, in 2031?
