Matthew Tkachuk took his opportunity in one of the first NHL media days of the year to remind everyone of what happened last season and take one last shot at the Boston Bruins.
In his interview with ESPN's Kristen Shilton and Greg Wyshynski, Tkachuk had this response to who he was most looking forward to watching this year.
Tkachuk has never been the guy to shy away from sharing his opinion or stirring up the drama with the media, and it looks like this year is no different. Now, his comments could be referencing a few things, but there is really no positive way to spin this one.
He is most likely referencing the fact that the Bruins had one of the more historic regular seasons in NHL history, then choked a 3-1 series lead in the 1st round to Tkachuk's Panthers. Or, he could be talking about the fact that the Bruins' roster has been completely changed with captain Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci retiring. Neither is fun for Bruins fans to think about.
