Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis was spotted with Anaheim Ducks star Trevor Zegras in public sparking major speculation among fans and media.

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras was reportedly seen leaving a New York gym with Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis. This sighting has sparked rumors that Zegras might be leaving the Ducks.

The 23-year-old Zegras has been the subject of trade rumors, especially after a difficult season with the Ducks. He played in only 31 games due to injuries, scoring just 9 goals and 15 points, far below his usual performance. In contrast, he scored 23 goals and 65 points the previous season and was second in Calder Trophy voting the year before that.

Despite his injury issues, trading Zegras might not be the best move for the Ducks since his trade value is likely at its lowest. Analyst AR Hockey Stats pointed that out on social media.

There are rumors that Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks might be available now. However his value is probably the lowest since he entered into the NHL. On the other side, he already showed in last seasons he could be great offensive forward for many years.

Ducks GM Pat Verbeek says that they were not shopping Trevor Zegras prior to the trade deadline:

«It's a situation there that everybody is speculating on. We want Z to play with us. Hopefully he can get through this injury pretty quick and get back on the ice.»
