A report surfaced on Instagram last night, suggesting that Kane would not be returning to New York.
Larry Brooks of The New York Post later confirmed the news, stating that the Rangers were not pursuing Patrick Kane.
Additionally, Brooks disclosed the teams that are scheduled to meet with Kane and his agent next week.
Kane underwent hip resurfacing surgery on June 1st, shortly after the Rangers were eliminated from the playoffs. He has been working out on his own in the Toronto area since mid-July and is now prepared to sign a new contract.
