The story of Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin will go down in history for the NHL. It's very rare that two generational talents play together their entire careers, win multiple Stanley Cups together, and essentially grow up together.
The only downside to the story is that it must come to an end eventually, and now we know when the finale might be, at least for Malkin.
In a recent interview, Malkin revealed that he hopes to play for three more years in the NHL. The 37-year-old power forward has played in 1063 games in his career, all for the Penguins, after being drafted 2nd overall by the club in 2004.
Malkin is definitely not a charity case from a management perspective, either, as he was able to put up 27 goals and 83 points just last year. As long as he can stay healthy, he won't just continue to play in Pittsburgh, but also make a meaningful contribution in hopes of adding one final Cup for the Pens.
