According to Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic, the St. Louis Blues are set to place winger Jakub Vrana on waivers.
Today, insider Chris Johnston has confirmed the news.
The 27 year old has recorded two goals and six points in 19 games this season. He was acquired by St. Louis last season from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for prospect Dylan McLaughlin and a 2025 seventh-round pick. The Detroit Red Wings are currently retaining 50 percent of his salary. Vrana is a pending unrestricted free agent and carries a cap hit of $2.625 million.
Originally selected 13th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2014 draft, Vrana has a career total of 110 goals and 209 points in 365 games.
