Last night the Toronto Marlies got into an unusual brawl with the Belleville Senators after Boko Imama speared Marlies goaltender Dennis Hildeby. Today we learned the outcome of last night's events.

Leafs Enforcer Earned Three-Game Suspension From AHL Following Brawl

One of the players involved in last night's brawl was Kyle Clifford, who the Leafs signed as an enforcer. He has spent most of the last two seasons with the Marlies acting as an enforcer in the AHL. Last night he proved his worth as he had to jump in to protect his teammates.

Dennis Hildeby gets jabbed by Bokondji Imama after the second period ends and the entire #Marlies team doesn't like it.

Kyle Clifford comes in flying and drops the gloves with Imama.

Chaos erupted on the ice following the play from Imama as all players were skating to their respective locker rooms. As a result, there were far more players on the ice for the referees to deal with than normal. Today we learned that both Clifford and Imama have been suspended by the AHL for three games.

Belleville's Bokondji Imama and Toronto's Kyle Clifford have each been suspended for three games as a consequence of their actions in last night's game between the Senators and Marlies.
