Over the past few weeks, there have been many stories surfacing surrounding veteran goaltender Robin Lehner in Vegas, and now, the story continues getting worse. After Lehner and his wife Donya filed for bankruptcy back in 2022, things have now gotten worse, with U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Natalie Cox reportedly freezing the assets of both Lehner and his wife.
This comes after a filing from creditor Aliya Growth Fund, as they are looking to recoup $4.8 million owed to them by the Lehners, with the couple reportedly anywhere from $10M to $50M in debt when they initially filed for bankruptcy back in 2022. Unfortunately, things keep getting worse for the couple, as they reportedly used the $6 million earned by the goaltender last year to continue spending, rather than dealing with their significant debt issue.
Lehner's future in the NHL is reportedly up in the air after he will miss yet another campaign due to injury, making this situation even more tricky, so expect to hear more details on this story as the situation continues to develop.
