In their last game, despite welcoming back Pierre-Luc Dubois, the Jets were able to fill just 11,226 seats in the arena, leaving over 4,000 seats vacant, their lowest number since returning to Winnipeg (Covid 19 season aside).
While it's being made out to be a big deal among fans and the NHL media, it's reached the Jets bench as well, as two key players reportedly discussed the obvious lack of fans during their latest game.
When asked about it recently, Jets star Kyle Connor, who has been in Winnipeg for the entirety of his career dating back to 2016, had this to say about the vacant seats in their latest game.
Despite this, the team remain confident that things will turn around, and believe the team isn't a problem, but with so many factors going into it, it's hard not to be concerned.
It may not be a cause for immediate concern if it turns around soon, but with the NHL reportedly looking into expansion, it's something to certainly keep a close eye on.
