Athletes that wish to compete in the Olympic games will be able to do so, but there's a twist, they won't represent their country.

According to the IOC (International Olympic Committee), athletes with Russian or Belarusian passport will be able to register as Individual Neutral Athletes (AINs).

"The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has decided that Individual Neutral Athletes (AINs) who have qualified through the existing qualification systems of the International Federations (IFs) on the field of play will be declared eligible to compete at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 in accordance with the the conditions outlined below. Individual Neutral Athletes are athletes with a Russian or Belarusian passport."

They'll need to sign the Conditions of Participation applicable for Paris 2024 just like every other athlete participating, which contains "the peace mission of the Olympic Movement".

Stay tuned for more updates.
