As reported in The Athletic, Pierre Lebrun has revealed who he believes would be the likely candidate to run the next Team Canada Team if they are able to organize another World Cup of hockey for 2025 or if they send NHLers to the Olympics again, slated for 2026.
Armstrong was also the GM for Canada in the World Hockey Championships this past spring in Finland. He has also led the St. Louis Blues to a Stanley Cup championship in 2019.
LeBrun also speculated that Team Canada could be looking to experiment by adding some new faces to their management team. This might include young GM Kyle Dubas of the Pittsburgh Penguins and formerly the Toronto Maple Leafs.
It's common to hear players explain their excitement about playing for their Countries during international play, and it's safe to say that Managers feel the same way.
