Superstar Shohei Ohtani Set To Sign In Toronto According To Multiple Reports
Brace yourselves Blue Jays fans, as rumors suggest that Shohei Ohtani's free agency saga might be reaching its conclusion, with speculation mounting about a private jet en route to Pearson Airport, carrying the Japanese baseball sensation to Toronto.
A representative of his agency, CAA, would not comment when asked about Ohtani's travel plans.
At this hour, Ohtani does not have a signed agreement with any @MLB team.
The online buzz on platforms like X and Reddit have intensified, with rumors of a reservation for 50 individuals at a sushi restaurant in close proximity to Rogers Centre.
In an additional twist, X user Clarence Frazer, citing an anonymous source, alleges that Blue Jays pitcher Yusei Kikuchi, also a Japanese player, made a reservation for over 50 guests at an "upscale sushi restaurant near Rogers Centre" on Friday night.
That's not to say it won't ultimately be the Blue Jays; my understanding is that, at this point, that decision has not been made.
