In a heartbreaking incident during an amateur hockey game in New Moscow over the weekend, a 62-year-old goaltender collapsed to the ice and sadly passed away before medical assistance could reach him.
Reports suggest that the lack of medical personnel at the scene likely played a role in the unfortunate outcome. Surprisingly, players themselves decided against having medical staff on-site, citing concerns about increased expenses for the league.
While paramedics did eventually arrive and attempt to revive the goaltender, their efforts were in vain. This marks the second death of an amateur player in Russia this month, following a similar tragedy involving a 60-year-old player just a couple of weeks ago.
