The coaching carousel continues with the Minnesota Wild and the NHL as another coach gets relieved from his duties.

The Minnesota Wild did not qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season, leading GM Bill Guerin to make some major changes. First, he replaced head coach Dean Evason with John Hynes. Now, Guerin has also decided to part ways with assistant coach Darby Hendrickson, who had been with the team for 12 years.

The #mnwild has relieved Assistant Coach Darby Hendrickson of his coaching duties.

Hendrickson played over 500 NHL games, including three and a half seasons with the Wild when the team first joined the league in 2000.

The following statement has been released.

«I would like to thank Darby for all his hard work and commitment to the Minnesota Wild during his long tenure with our organization,» said Guerin. «He has done a tremendous amount of good things for our team and the State of Hockey as a player and a coach. I wish Darby and his family all the best in the future.»
