Early this season there were reports that Conor Garland was looking to get out of Vancouver. The former Arizona Coyote has struggled to find his footing with the Canucks since being acquired.
Since the request things have been relatively quiet on the Garland market. Now that seems to be changing as reports of multiple teams interested in Garland have surfaced.
New reports have indicated that two teams have interest in pursuing a Garland trade. According to NHL Trade Rumors both the Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitals are looking to trade for the winger.
Both teams are struggling to score this season and could use a boost. The Capitals are contenders and could be willing to give up more assets. The Blackhawks are still rebuilding and could be a perfect place for Garland to get big minutes and turn his career around.
Both Washington and Chicago would be better landing spots than his current situation in Vancouver. As we get past the holidays expect the Garland trade talks to heat up.
