Elliotte Friedman has announced that The Chicago Blackhawks have made a new addition to their roster today in light of some injuries, acquiring Zach Sanford off waivers from the Arizona Coyotes.
Sanford won a Stanley Cup with the St. Louis Blues in 2019 and has played in 11 games this season for the Arizona Coyotes, recording just 2 assists. He has 100 points in 316 total career NHL games.
The addition comes after Chicago announced both Connor Bedard (Jaw) and Nick Foligno (Finger) were placed on the injured reserve list.
We will see if Sanford can crack a roster spot on the Blackhawks or if he will be placed on waivers again.
