Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedard is facing major backlash for his attempted michigan move against Utah Hockey Club in their franchise opening game.

Bedard has been impressing fans with his skills since he entered the NHL but he's now facing criticism for his latest move. Last night against Utah HC, which marked their debut in the league, the Blackhawks suffered a 5-2 defeat. Utah HC's Dylan Guenther scored the first goal in franchise history while Bedard contributed assists on both Chicago goals. However it was Bedard's attempt to pull off the Michigan move that sparked controversy among fans.

Fans are now calling him out on social media.

This isn't the first time Bedard has faced criticism for his skilled creative style of play. Last season the old school hockey crowd had similar complaints. Despite that Bedard quickly became one of the most talked about players in the league due to his immense talent and ability to make highlight reel plays.

Whether fans love or hate moves like the Michigan there's no denying Bedard's skill. At just 19 years old he's already proven to be one of the most talented players in the NHL. If he can continue refining his game & balance his creativity with smart play Bedard has the potential to become one of the league's top players in the history of the game.
